    1. Tropical Storm Keith was the eleventh Atlantic tropical cyclone of the 1988 Atlantic hurricane season. It struck the Continental United States later in the calendar year than any since the 1925 Atlantic hurricane season. Keith developed out of a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea on November 17. It tracked northwestward, and under generally favorable conditions, it reached a peak intensity of 70 mph (110 km/h) shortly before striking the northeastern tip of the Yucatán Peninsula. It turned northeastward in the Gulf of Mexico, and made landfall near Sarasota, Florida, on November 23. Keith accelerated its forward motion under the influence of a cold front, and became extratropical near Bermuda on November 24. The extratropical remnant persisted for two more days.

I think that a pedeatrician is the best. I think this because they get to work with kids and get paid bank! They also get to help make the world better and help people like longer by getting them healthy as kids. They jobs i think are missing from this are the normal jobs like, teaching, being cop, and banker. Yes because of the fact that these jobs are in high demand and pay for so they are some of the top jobs to work for to help make people happy and have a more stable life.

  3. I think they rate the best jobs by how much money the people make. However, they don't include some of the people with the highest paying jobs out there. Such as actors, writers, directors, or producers. These people are very rich and I was surprised that none of them were on the list. Maybe they were looking for jobs it would be more likely to have but then again, I have about as much chance as becoming a biochemisist as becoming a movie director.

I think that an occupational therapist is a very exciting and fun job. An occupational therapist helps people come back from injuries and they also help them walk again and get out of bed. Occupational therapists are really smart and most of them know quite a bit about sports and know the fastest ways to get you back on the field or court and start playing again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
PEACE OUT TO MY HOMEBOYS THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

The best job was the General Surgeon because they made a lot of money and had a 24.4% growth. This article is missing teachers, Interpreting, and Grocery store clerk. I do agree with the way they have ranked them because your jobs should be ranked on the pay and growth, but i also feel they should have been ranked on how difficult the jobs were and the type of work you do.

  6. Family Physician is the best because you get to help others throughout their lifetime. They get a good average pay and there are a lot of jobs out there. Educational jobs are missing from the list. I agree with the criteria because it goes with jobs that are in high demand.

  7. I read the top ranked job, General Surgeon. They get paid the most money out of the 100. They get paid 288,000 a year. Being a General Surgeon can be stressful, but also pleasing, knowing that you're saving a life. The job that i wished to see on the list was cosmotology. I also agree with the criteria.

I think general surgeon is the best but there are others I would put at the top as well. General surgeon is the best because it pays the most even though the growth is not so good. There are many jobs missing from the list and most I have never heard of. I think the criteria they used to rank them are good I just wish they would have made it easier to understand by ranking them by pay or something else.

I think that being a movie ticket tearer, or a sign waver would be the best job (at this moment for me) . It would be the same pay and a lot easier. If i was a sign waver i could listen to music and things while i work, and i get to be outside. being a business intelligence manager would be fun, business interests me and a business degree can help a ton in today's economy. I think they should have balanced the skill and pressure of a job with the pay better in this.

I think that the general surgeon is the best job because the median they make 100,000 dollars anually more than any other job on this list. I think that mechanical engineering should be on the list because it pays well, is fairly low stress, and tons of jobs. I do agree with the criteria.

  11. I think number 19, Portfolio Manager, is the best. Portfolio managers do a lot of research to make very important investment decisions for a fund or group of funds under their control. They spend the day meeting with analysts, researchers, and clients, checking the financial markets, keeping up on company news, and buying and selling investments as things change.

  12. I think they way they numbered them was really random. They should have had some sort of sorting to the list such as higher paying jobs at the top or the highest growth of that job at the top and it decreases down the list. Also, there was some really random jobs that I had never heard of or didn't sound like they were an actual job.

  13. I think that that a software developer would be a great job. In a ever growing technology they are needed. Testing, making, fixing bugs is a needed person to run all of it. They make the computers, smart phones , video games, tablets all need someone to create them fix them. Everything is ran by technology today so this is a ever growing job that can only get bigger and bigger in demand.

  14. (Emina Musinovic, Period 3) I personally think that any of the medical jobs are the best because they help with the treatment of other people, for example like #4 "General Surgeon". The jobs that are missing from this list are simple jobs like a garbage workers, store workers...etc. Also jobs like teachers, and other learning jobs. I don't agree with these rankings because I believe that some of them should be included more towards the top vs. where they are towards the bottom. The criteria used to rank this occupations I feel is a bit off. But everyone has their own opinions.

  15. I think the Forensic PC Analyst, would be one of the best jobs. Their median pay is $103,000 a year, and the top pay is $143,000 a year. What they would do is they would recover e-mails if someone deleted them and they needed them for a crime investigation. Also they would discover passwords if they needed to get into some documents. This is why i believe this job would be pretty fun :)

I believe the Actuary career was the best found on the CNN top 100 list. I believe this because, the growth in the last ten years is lower but, high enough to know there is a demand for the career. Some jobs missing from the list are any job involving education, and teaching. This is probably so because many jobs are leaning more toward higher pay and a greater need for technological jobs. I agree with the criteria they used to rank these jobs because, they used many important factors in society. The criteria also works because, they are not only looking at pay and popularity but growth as well.

I think the best job on this list is a hand therapist. This occupation sounds super interesting and I've never heard of it before. I'd love to know more about this job and what it entails. I think jobs such as teacher, psychologist, and more technology based jobs. I think the criteria used to rank this list was very appropriate. Ranking based on money, job growth, and satisfaction is a good idea because those are major factors people look for in a job.

The blog shows how much the best jobs in America make. It also gives information about the work environment of certain jobs in America. The best job I've seen on this blog is the general surgeon. The article said that general surgeons have a more relaxed because they know they're saving lives. The median pay is $288,000 but the top pay is $396,000. I personally think that the general surgeon is the best because they get the most out of all of the other top jobs in America but they don't have very many jobs that involve art. Maybe teaching is considered one that is missing from the list. I do not agree because some of the jobs today, I feel, are growing more than others and I feel like the list rank is not accurate.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Madisen White period 3
In my opinion, I think the jobs should be ranked by the growth, so the highest growing job is at the top of the list, and the lowest growing job is at the bottom of the list. The way they're laid out right now, is just kind of random. I think if people saw that the job was growing, they would be more interested to looking into that job because lots of people would be getting that job.

I think the best job is General Surgeon because they make really good money, have okay growth, and they help people by saving lives. I agree with the criteria and the way they ranked this occupation. Some jobs that are missing would be a teachers.

  21. Noah Laycock - Period 3
I think that #4, the general surgeon, is the best job on here. A general surgeon does surgery, generally. It is the only job I would partially enjoy spending the rest of my life working as. They also get plenty of money, the median being $288,000 and the top pay being $396,000. Also, the growth is up 24.4% over the last 10 years.

    ReplyDelete

  22. I agree with General Surgeon being on the list. They make really good money and they have big growth, great pay and satisfying work. Jobs missing from the list are average jobs. All the jobs on the list require a big education. Not everyone can afford that education. So average jobs should be worked into the list. I agree with the criteria for the ranking they rank the jobs by median pay and 10 year job growth.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think that a Pediatrician is the best because they help young children get over a sickness, whether it's just a mild cold or a serious virus. Veterinarian is missing from the list. In fact every career providing help to animals is missing. Most careers in the animal sciences pay very well. Especially in places such as California, where the population is very large.

I think that any job with computers or technology would be a good job. These jobs on this list are good jobs and will always be needed. The criteria used was very well balanced had good reasons.

  25. Occupational therapist is the best job on the list because they help people recover from injuries. I am surprised that Athletic trainer or professional athlete is not on the list because those are great jobs and they also can pay a lot.

  26. I think the best job would be General Surgeon because they make a lot of money. I think it is the only one on the list I would enjoy. To get this job you need a lot of training which I would enjoy. One of the upsides of the job is getting to save lives. This is why I think general surgeon is the best on the list.

  27. I think bank examiner is the best job. Its the best because you get to work with all the finances of a bank. It can be stressful but it also would be very fun just to manage all of the money. I do think that the criteria for the jobs fits because being a bank examiner can be stressful, and their isn't much flexibility with where you work.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think general surgeon would be the best job because of the fact that you get to help people and you probably wouldn't have a boring day. Each day would consist of something different and you make very good money doing so. I think teaching could be added because many people go into teaching and many teachers seem to really enjoy their job. I agree with the criteria because these are the main points of what you should look into when picking a career. You want to make sure they fit your lifestyle and that you'll be able to work easily in that field.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think that the Petroleum Engineer would be the best job. The reason is that people will always want to get there gas and oils. So your job would be secure. But also it isn't a physically demanding job and it doesn't require much work. Also if you like to manage things you get to tell people what to do and how to do it. Also you can make a ton of money doing this job.

I think that a Clinical Nurse Specialist is a great job. There is less legal responsibility, and clinic hours are nice for a family. It may not pay the most out of them on the list, but one definitely wouldn't be starving, or find it difficult to get by. Nurses are the most trusted profession in America, and being on the top of the nursing totem poll would be a good feeling. Also, helping people would be extremely rewarding. Saving lives every day is amazing to say the least, in a 20 year career, one may have saved thousands of lives, and all of their family and friends I am sure greatly appreciate the effort that was put into helping their loved ones.

I think the event coordinator is the best job. The growth percent is very high in 10 years which is important especially considering the time for college and other education. The pay is about $50,000 currently but after ten years the salary would be much higher. Also an event coordinator doesn't take on a lot of stress and they help people on important days like weddings and other parties so it would be fun.

  32. In my opinion, being an occupational therapist would be the best job. While helping others recover, you also get the satisfaction of healing people - changing their lives back to normal. It pays well and is a low stress job. It would be very rewarding. I think teachers are missing from this list, you wouldn't be able to do any of these jobs without being taught. The criteria was well put together with salary, pros/cons, and ratings all included.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think the best job would be a physical therapist, because you get to work with people all day. You would get to do something different everyday and you would get to work with athletes. Educational jobs are missing from the list, also normal jobs like bankers and cops are missing from the list. I agree with the criteria for the list, because those are the jobs that are in highest demands and you can make alot of money from those jobs. Paige Drenth Pd.7

I think that being a video game designer would be the best job. You get to design something that no one else has thought of before. Or they have always wanted to play out something that they have been thinking of a lot. You get to decide what the characters look like, what kind of game it is, anything you want it to be. Also, you get paid doing so, therefore I think video game designer would be the best job to have. The power of ideas and ingenuity at your fingertips.

  35. I think the best job would be number 4, a genral surgen because they make $288,000 also each day at work is different so they will never get bored. These surgens are on demand and they normally deal with trauma units. These people are saving lives because the people they deal with are in rough shape. They can do a wide variaty of proceduares

I think general surgeon would be the best job from the list. Although the job can be extremely stressful, the pay is very high. You must go through rigorous training and many years of education but in the long run, you could be rewarded with much satisfaction. The jobs are rated by personal satisfaction in your life, benefit of the job to society, flexibility of the job, and the low stress level of the job. I do agree with these ratings but I think finding a job that you really like to do is the most important. With that in mind, I think the career area including Interior Design should be on the list because that is what I would really like to do.

I think that a Pediatrician would be the best job because they help diagnose and treat kids illnesses and injuries. They also perform regular checkups and immunizations from when children are born to their teen years. Every appointment that would be scheduled would involve seeing cute little kids and helping figure out what is wrong with them. The jobs that are missing are crime scene investigator and forensic analyst. I believe the criteria is good because they not only looked a size and popularity.

  53. I believe that being a pediatrician would be a very interesting job. You not only get to work with kids, but you get paid a lot of money. I personally love working with kids, and being able to make them better would be an amazing feeling to have. I think that there are a lot of jobs that are missing from this list. From everyday jobs, to really crazy jobs. From being a normal, everyday teacher, to being a well known actress, doctor, or lawyer. And I dont really agree with the criteria on this list either. A lot of these jobs just dont sound very interesting to me. They all have to do with a lot of the same things.

  64. A software Architect has the median of 121,000 and top pay of 160 k. Mad money just to be the county's architect for bridges or structures. They also solve business problems within the economy and designing ideas with the electronic software that helps fulfills the needs of America. Jobs missing on the list are jobs that don't have a good flexibility, benefit to society, personal satisfaction, and low stress grade that's high but rather low. Due to low grade rating for other jobs they didn't make it on the list. I agree with the ranking criteria of the blog, the reason, all the jobs don't suck for work conditions, and other personal needs or wants from a good job.

  73. I think that being a family physician would be a very fun, as well as interesting job. The job is not only profitable, it's always been a passion of mine to help people and going into the medical field is just the thing to do. Additionally it is a very self satisfying job, because you can go to sleep at night knowing you helped heal someone or send them on their way to recovery. The medical field in general is a huge benefit to society, as people get sick all the time and things being discovered in the medical field all the time, there is always a need for new staff. You will deal with people of all ages, so you will always be doing things differently. It does happen to be pretty well paying as it can pay up too $236,000. If this is something you are interested in, you've really hit the jackpot, because you're getting paid thousands of dollars to do something you love. I think the criteria is pretty illogical as most of these jobs would appeal to the same kind of people, and they won't appeal to others. Some jobs missing would be just being your everyday professor, to a CEO of a corporation. Most of the jobs listed have a lot to do with the same kind of things.

I don't think there's much missing here the top 100 jobs were picked for a reason and i do agree with the criteria because it tells ya what is needed to be a great job. #YOLOSWAG

  75. I like Forensic Accountant. I like math so I would be interested in pursuing this career. They do skip over any educational careers, though. Half of these jobs I have never heard of. Additionaly, it seems that the only criteria is the growth and pay. I feel they did not do a great job explaining why one is ranked over the other. Without going into each career individually, you cannot see why one is better. So they should maybe put the letter grades next to the salary and percentages.

I think being a Clinical Nurse Specialist would be a interesting job because it all runs on Obamas Health Care Act. Their job would be pretty stressful and dealing with mad clients at first, it really depends what the govenment does to change the health care act to make it easier to understand. Being a Clinical Nurse still requires all of the training as a normal nurse but they talk to the other nurses and inform them on all of the health care changes. A job that is rapidly expanding and not on the list is a pharmacist, because of obamas healthcare act. The Criteria is pretty good but all of the jobs are based on one topic expanding technology, and political issues.

  77. Vanessa Kaler..... I think a General Surgeon is a great job. Not only do you get paid really good, but you get to save lives too. On the blog post, personal satisfaction gets an A and benefits to society gets a A. Flexibility gets a C, but obviously you can't do a surgery just whenever it works for you, it has to work for your patient as well.

  78. I think being a real estate agent would be the coolest thing out there because I could be like Derek from the movie "Step Brothers". Being a real estate agent wouldn't make me the most coin in the world but I feel like I would still enjoy the occupation. I could help all sorts of families try to find a house to call their home.

I think the best job on the list is General Surgeon. I think this because this interests me a lot. It has a job growth of 24.4% so finding in this field will not be difficult. I think it is great that you are able to save lives through the act of surgery. Downfalls to this job is the high stress and little flexibility. I feel that some jobs that should be on the list are teachers. The pay is not great but the mold the children of the future.

I think a General Surgeon is a great job to have because you get more money and the big picture is that you can save lives. Me for example my elbow was broken and I had to get Surgery on it and if i didn't get it fixed by the hospital my arm will get blood clot in my veins and it will cancel the arm movement and you won't be able to move your arm and if that happens the blood will still build up and start a heart attack. But if its not moving and if your remove the arm you won't have an attack.

I think a general surgeon is the best job because it gets the best salary out of all the jobs on the list. I do not want to be a general surgeon. I think being a certified public accountant would be the best job for me. I recently did a paper on this job and I was really interested. I feel that if you like your job, then it doesn't matter what your salary is. A lot of the jobs were very similar to each other or in the same category.
